Man is made in the spiritual image of God to be like Him in character. He is the supreme object of God's creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin." Sin is every disobedient action we do. Sin is what seperates us from having a relationship with our Creator.
Genesis 1:27, Psalm 8:3-6, Isaiah 53:6a, Romans 3:23, Isaiah 59:1-2
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God in Heaven through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell with complete and utter darkness. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life and light. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
John 3:16, I John 2:25 & 5:11-13, Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:15
We are all sinners that need a payment for our sins and a way out of the punishment that we deserve. Salvation is a gift from God to man that is completely free!! Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ and accepting God's offer of forgiveness can a man be saved from sin's penalty which is eternal life begin seperated from the love of God. Salvation from the punishment of sin is received the moment we ask for it through faith in Jesus Christ.
" For by grace are you saved, through faith, not of yourselves, it is the gift from God, not from works, so no one can boast."
- Ephesians 2:8-9
Romans 6:23,John 14:6 & 1:12, Titus 3:5, Galatians 3:26, Romans 5:1
Water baptism is the first step of obedience after Salvation. Baptism is an outward testimony of an inward change of your heart and your commitment to follow Jesus all the days of your life. It is commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ for all believers to be baptized. We believe in full immersion baptism because that is how our Lord Jesus Christ was baptized and at that moment the Father in Heaven said, "This is my Son in whom I am well pleased." We live to please God.
Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 3:38, 1 Cor. 12: 13, Acts 10:47, Acts 2:41
The Bible is God's Word to all men. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs. It is the living, breathing, Word of God. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of errors.
